We are looking for a Project Manager & Content Creator to join our Marketing and Creative team. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and energetic workspace and work culture. Must be a team player. This position offers the flexibility to work hybrid (a blend of working remotely and in our state-of-the-art Bloomfield, IA office), at least 60% required in-office.  Job Outline

This hybrid position includes both managing meaningful projects and creating compelling content. In the role of Project Manager you will oversee web development, print design, digital marketing, and other projects from beginning to end and act as a point of contact between our creative team and clients. This position is a dual-role position and will also share responsibilities with our Social Media team and join our team as a Content Creator. 

As Content Creator, you’ll develop branded communications and marketing content. Our ideal candidate will help plan and create content for social platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, as well as Website Blog Posts, and Mailchimp Email Campaigns as needed. You’ll help grow our own brand and outside clients’ social presence with content that engages and inspires across multiple industries.

  • As a Project Manager, job responsibilities:
    • Develop project plans, report results, conduct meetings, assign tasks and ensure projects stay on scope, within budget, and meet objectives.
    • Communicate up-to-date project schedules with team members and clients.
    • Provide successful oversight on multiple projects in the project flow at any given time. 
    • Act as central liaison between the various HPMG creative team members and our clients.
    • Offer excellent communication and customer service between team members and clients.
    • Proof websites and other digital deliverables. Must execute great attention to detail.
    • Field client website maintenance requests.
    • Actively maintain client retention, new client sales, etc.
  • As a Content Creator, job responsibilities:
    • Write digital content for blogs, email campaigns and social posts and/or videos, for use on social media platforms and other mediums under the direction of the VP of Marketing & Creative. 
    • Schedule social media posts using applications such as Buffer and/or native solutions.
    • Promote products, services, and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with the social media strategy and brand standards.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team and multiple store locations on digital marketing tactics.
    • Reply to customer inquiries on social platforms within expected time frames and in the voice of company brand standards.
    • Report to work when scheduled and work outlined number of hours. Some on-call availability is required, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays (on a rotating schedule with other team members).


  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, operations, graphic design, marketing, public relations, or a related field is preferred. Experience with the following platforms: Google Analytics, Facebook Business Suite, Instagram, Pinterest, Buffer, and other platforms. Experience with managing projects from start to finish in a timely fashion. Must have strong writing skills including, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and writing styles. Experience in sales and client retention is a plus!
  • Writing Skills: Content creation is a key component of this position. As Content Creator you will be required to write engaging, shareable, and click-worthy content for multiple industries and within brand standards.
  • Communication Skills: This position requires excellent communication skills when acting as Project Manager or Content Creator (both written and verbal), as there will be an interaction between the departments, clients, and the marketing team on a consistent basis.
  • Analytical Skills: It is imperative that the ideal candidate possess critical thinking and analytical skills. They should be able to readily identify problems and formulate practical solutions.
  • Preferred: Basic knowledge of WordPress, Squarespace, Mailchimp, WooCommerce, and other web technologies; Experience in Zendesk a plus; Comfortable using Google Apps such as Docs and Sheets; Understand current trends (including application) of modern design in print and web marketing. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Picmonkey, and other creative tools. SEO experience such as keyword research is preferred.

This is a full-time salaried position with starting pay of 40k – 44k. Health insurance and 401k are available.
